How much is the BlackBerry Storm if I am a current Verizon customer?

I have the enV2 right now and I am thinking about selling it and picking up the new BlackBerry Storm. I know it retails for $500ish by itself without a contract and about $200 or so if you start a 2-year contract, but how much would it cost me if I am already a Verizon customer looking to upgrade my phone?

It depends if your phone is eligable for an upgrade. If it is then you get a certain discount. There is also a $50 mail in rebate. I got my storm at $100 for a $250 phone. Some other things to consiter are that visual voice mail costs more. Vz navigator lets you do some things without the 9.99 month subscription. And the actual blackberry service is an extra $15 a month. I really like mine and it’s way better than my old env. I like it way better than the iPhone.
I hope this helped!

You’re already on the right track, about $200 if you’re up for renewal. If you’re not up for renewal, they may prorate the discount depending on how much time you have left on your current contract. I just upgraded on a contract that was almost up (Verizon, like you) and it cost me $218.
Keep in mind that on BlackBerry you have to have a dedicated BlackBerry data plan, so that would run you an extra $30 per month for unlimited data/email/web access. You can also add on “tethering” (ability to use the Storm as a dialup modem from a laptop) for $15/mo.
Hope this helps…

i just recently got the storm and i’m a current verizon customer..i’ve learned every place that sells it is different..not all are the same…i was a new customer november of 07…i have the wireless internet through them…that i got in end of july of 08..which just so happened renewed my two year contract with them..so i couldnt get that discount..after a day of searching for one…walmart had them..but would only give it to me for the 500ish price….we had already preordered one at best buy…when they called the next day my mom contacted verizon and said i was eligable for early upgrade…so i got mine from best buy..i think we were soooo very lucky..i was paying for things i didnt know about nor wanted and i had been going into verizon store…the guy i dealt with at best buy was by far better then any cell phone salesmen help lol…i had gotten the phone a protective case and some screen cover …originally that would of costed me 586.83…it went down to 186 dollars….so its possible..
