I want to use messaging, maybe a little internet surfing (but i’m sure i’d survive without 3g). How good is windows Mobile? What is the best mobile web browser? And if you own a smartphone, what kind is it and what apps do you have?

And on ATT all smart phones seem to require a special smartphone plan (evil!!!), so thats not a factor.

I own a q9m on verizon.
its the 9c on ATT.
If you don’t want data wm smartphones are great.
I have movie players, free games, twitter apps.
I have 200.00 in software on my phone plus freeware.
BB require a data plan.
wm devices allow you to pay as you go but its costly.
the best browser is in beta and called Skyfire.
you get flash on sites and everything.

My Wife has the Black Jack 2, the only thing that she dislikes about it is that we are not in a 3G area, so her battery life is crap. I am sure that it would be better if in a 3G networked area(I am told sometime Next month). I Have a tilt that I am not all that enthused with. Powerful, yeah… but always needing a reset. I am actually looking at the Curve. Has GPS, a nice Camera, and seems to be a neat looking phone, My friend likes it for the keyboard, but not much else beyond that. Although i don’t think she uses the BB features. I have been doing some research on the curve, and it sounds nice. Good Battery life, and fairly good reception. (my friend gets reception where my tilt go BLAH)
Depending on the wait for the 8900 I might consider waiting for that phone, but if its battery is like so many other 3G phones, i don’t know of I will make the jump to it. I have heard really good things abpout the 8820, but i haven’t used one so i have no idea on it. Good Luck.
