Blackberry 8900 was also given the codename “Javelin.” Other than that what carrier will it be for? Furthermore, any estimated date will be fine. I would just like to know for some reassurance, I just know that it’s q1 of 2009.

My mom is getting me the Alltel Blackberry Curve for Christmas. I recently found out that there is a newer one that is to be released soon. It is supposed to be much better. My question is, should I go ahead and get the current Curve since my mom will be buying it for me, or should I wait until the newer one is released. This will be my first Blackberry, so I almost feel like I should just let my mom get me the current one, and I can see how I like it. Any ideas?

My dad has the Bold, and it seems speedier and slick , very good phone.
Recently used a Blackberry Storm, but didn’t like the touchscreen keyboard.
A friend has the Blackberry Curve 8900 (The one that looks like the bold, but smaller)

which one would you prefer? Not judged for the looks, i just want the best cellphone i can get.
